Meanwhile, Texas has become a magnet for major corporations in recent years. Companies like Tesla, HP, and Oracle have relocated their headquarters to the Lone Star State, drawn by its business-friendly environment and growing economic opportunities.

Known primarily for its financial institutions, New York also boasts a diverse array of Fortune 500 companies, including names like Pepsi, Pfizer, and Estée Lauder.

Unexpected Player in the Fortune 500

While not typically associated with major corporate headquarters, Nebraska is notable for hosting four Fortune 500 companies, including Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway. It’s the seventh largest company by market capitalization in the country, worth nearly $1 trillion.

Interestingly, 14 states do not host any Fortune 500 companies.
